After spending a few hours with Graham from Cumberland Charter Yachts familiarising us with the boat we are off. Got to say Graham did a great job giving us the drill. After a short motor sail from Hamo we anchor for our first night in Cid Harbour at the base of Whitsunday peak. After some drinks and nibbles Horace cranks up the first nights meal. We have 8 nights onboard and it was decided that we would each do a dinner and a lunch, leaving one day in Airlie Beach where we would eat at local spots. As part of the planning we all had to provide Tiffany with our menu for lunch and dinners and then she prepared our food plan including the shopping list for the eight nights. This document was a work of art and I think could be a best seller on the Whitsunday charter circuit. Ray had been stressed all day about his meal it was sensational and set the high jump bar for the rest of the week for the level of culinary experiences. Very special checking out the lights from neighbouring yachts and talking about life and the universe before retiring to bed after our first day back in the Whitsundays. The rest of the holiday was more of the same.... Fun, sun, magnificient days in great places...
