Goldsmith Island Reef

Type Restricted Anchorage.
Description       
Restrictions Approved only to bareboats in 1F Extended Survey with CCY permission.  Fishing is prohibited in Anchorage 3.
Shelter in Anchorage 1 and 2 -  East to South West.
Anchorage 3 -  North West to East.
Fishing Fishing is prohibited in Anchorage 3.
Be careful of Bommies north of anchorage 1.  Reef to the south west of Goldsmith Island.  Strong currents between Farrier and Goldsmith Islands. The reef extends out a long way from each anchorage so don't attempt passage close to the beach - use your dinghy for exploring.
Snorkel There are some snorkelling opportunities around the Goldsmith group but be wary of tidal run.
Walking Go ashore and explore the beach and surrounds.
Sailing Sailing to and from the Goldsmiths is a long sail from the main Whitsunday islands
Solitude The Goldsmiths are rarely visited by the charter fleet but usually have some cruising boats on the long haul north or south.
