Cumberland Charter Yachts welcomes 4 brand new boats to the fleet 3:38pm, Mon 11 Sep 2017

Cumberland Charter Yachts are welcoming 4 new vessels to the fleet in 2018; a Lucia 40, Seawind 1160 Lite, another Aquila 44 and a Hanse 38.

All vessels are brand new off the production line and we're excited to announce that Cumberland Charter Yachts will be the only company in Australia that you can hire an Aquila 44 and Hanse 38 through, for charter.

Here we discover each vessels unique features and charter availability:

Lucia 40 -  "Laurenza"

Available for charter from January 2018

The Lucia 40 sailing catamaran launched by Fountaine Pajot, has shaken up the world's popular 40-foot charter boat market. Offering superb luminosity and a spacious cockpit that comfortably accommodates eight people at its dining table.

The catamarans sleek lines are complemented by its stylish interior design that incorporates premium quality fixtures and finishes. The interior is beautifully light courtesy of large panoramic portholes and excellent ventilation.

There is a generous choice of exterior relaxation areas and the spacious cockpit has been designed for easy entertaining at sea. Boasting four cabins and 2 bathrooms she's perfect for a large family or 4 couples.

Seawind 1160 Lite -  "The Pearl"

Available for charter from June 2018

'The Pearl' will be the 2nd Seawind 1160 Lite in the Cumberland Charter Yachts family fleet, joining 'Happy Hour' in the vessels around the 12m length. Featuring 3 double cabins and 2 ensuites, this is an ideal catamaran for a group of friends or a family due to the privacy offered by the location of each cabin.

With the galley located in the starboard hull, this allows the saloon in the centre of the main cabin to be larger than what you'd expect to find on a vessel this size.

The galley is simplified with an upright fridge/freezer and 3 burners stove while still offering the same amount of storage with ring lockers, a handy shelf and plenty of cupboard space - far more in fact than in larger cats with galley up designs.

Forward hatches in the main saloon allow the cool Whitsunday breeze to flow from front to back and out through the aft deck, where another lounge area allows crew on board to sit in comfort watching the islands glide by as you sail.

With twin helms and a self-tacking headsail and deck esky, its the perfect place to position yourself with a cold beverage as you charter around the Whitsundays on your bareboat holiday.

Aquila 44 - "Champagne Sunset"

Available for charter from March 2018

The popularity of the Aquila 44 has been a welcome surprise and with that, we are pleased to be welcoming a 2nd Aquila 44 to the fleet, aptly named 'Champagne Sunset' to sit alongside her sister ship 'Aquila Sunrise'.

Both the Aquila 44's sit in our elite fleet of charter boats in the Luxury Yachts Whitsundays vessel range due to their luxurious fit out and features including air-conditioning and private ensuites in all cabins and coffee pod machines just to name a few.

Hanse 38 - "Break Even"

Available for charter from June 2018

Joining her slightly larger sister 2 Easy, a Hanse 41, 'Break Even will join the fleet in June 2018. A record number of portholes and hatches mean the interior of this yacht is flooded with more light than any other yacht in its class. Thanks to the self-tacking jib with all lines leading back to the cockpit with twin helm positions, it is incredibly easy to sail.

With 5 openable hatches on deck, a central saloon window and two hull windows and a cockpit hatch in both aft cabins, the interior are flooded with natural light throughout the day.

3 double private cabins accompanied by 1 ensuite to share, the Hanse 388 is perfect for a small family or 3 couples. The central galley with gas stove, oven and plenty of bench space connects to the cockpit via the companionway that leads out to a large table that folds away easily when under sail.

Chill out with some music using the iPod dock or CD player, sipping on a cold beverage as the sun sets and you reminisce about the adventure you had for the day, exploring the Whitsundays on your very own bareboat charter.
