Cumberland Charter Yachts wins silver at tourism awards 8:34am, Tue 03 Oct 2017

Cumberland Charter Yachts celebrated success at the 2017 Whitsunday tourism awards held on Hamilton Island Saturday evening taking out silver for Unique Accommodation.

Being able to skipper your own boat in one of the most beautiful parts of the world is a unique experience and Cumberland Charter Yachts proved to be an industry leader in their field.

General Manager Sharon McNally, was ecstatic to receive the award which was proudly celebrated with staff on the night.

"The crew have pulled out all stops this year working extremely hard to ensure we continue to grow the business, provide great products, fantastic service and outstanding bareboating holidays in the Whitsundays."Sharon McNally said.

Celebrating in front of over 200 industry colleagues on Hamilton Island, the crew of Cumberland Charter Yachts were able to let their hair down and enjoy themselves after what has been a challenging year.

"We are extremely honoured to have won such a prestigious award and I'm so proud of what we have achieved in the year, especially after Cyclone Debbie".

Cumberland Charter Yachts have previously been awarded gold at the 2015 Whitsunday tourism awards, bronze at the 2016 Queensland tourism awards in the same category, and nominated again this year at the Queensland awards held in Brisbane on November 10.
