Whitsunday Clipper Race Carnival 13 - 29 January 2018

The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is a unique event which sees professional skippers show novice sailors the ropes on a massive 40,000 nautical mile adventure. The Whitsundays is set to be the final port in Australia. Along with it, and to celebrate there is a whole of region event for visitors and locals to enjoy. Think a long table lunch on world famous Whitehaven Beach, 'open boat' days to climb on board the vessels for a look, to the Australia Day Rodeo in Bowen.

Whitsunday Airport Runway Dinner 23 June 2018

How does an amazing dinner on an airport runway sound? The Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour will be hosting a dinner on the runway featuring long tables and marquees with a food festival showcasing local seafood and produce. Indulge in the VIP 7 course degustation dinner, an outdoor cinema, live music and entertainment for everyone.

Airlie Beach Markets - Every Saturday

Every Saturday morning between 6 am-1 pm, you'll find a colourful mix of arts, locally handmade clothes and jewellery, fresh produce and home-style food stalls at the Airlie Beach Markets. Situated between the Esplanade and Whitsunday Sailing Club along the foreshore, it is a great place to kick off your weekend with a nice takeaway coffee in your hand as you stroll through the market stalls listening to the local musicians play in the amphitheatre.

Airlie Beach Festival of Music 10 - 12 November 2018

Now in its 6th year and becoming one of the countries favourite music festivals, the Airlie Beach Music Festival is set to be the biggest yet. Over 3 days, 74 bands will play at various venues around Airlie Beach. From Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) to Leo Sayer, The Baby Animals and Sneaky Sound System there is sure to be some tunes to stomp your feet to no matter what your taste in music is.
