Cumberland Charter Yachts Win Gold at Queensland Tourism Awards 1:23pm, Mon 13 Nov 2017Cumberland Charter Yachts celebrated success at the 2017 Queensland Tourism Awards held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday evening, taking out gold for Unique Accommodation.
Being able to skipper your own boat in one of the most beautiful parts of the world is a unique experience and Cumberland Charter Yachts has proven to be an industry leader in their field.
Managing Director Charlie Preen and General Manager Sharon McNally were ecstatic to receive the award who attended the ceremony and accepted the trophy in front of 900 guests gathered to celebrate Queensland's tourism achievements.
"This is a dream come true. I am absolutely over the moon and so proud of our achievement." Sharon McNally said.
"Above all though, I am honoured to have such an amazing team. Our staff are what makes everything possible".

Whitsunday operators took out 14 accolades at the Queensland Tourism Awards, the second highest number of awards for a Queensland region.
"To have so many winners in the Whitsundays is fantastic. We're so lucky to live in an amazing place to call home."
Cumberland Charter Yachts won silver at the 2017 Whitsunday Tourism Awards in September for the same category. From their win at the Queensland Tourism Awards, they will gain automatic entry into the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, which will be held in Perth on 23 February 2018.
