CCY is thankful to report that our staff and their families are all safe and well.
The fleet has sustained minimal damage.
Abell Point Marina is working hard to get the marina precinct looking beautiful again and the Whitsunday Pilotage area is OPEN with caution. Vessels can move in and out of the marina with caution.

Charter Departure Information:

Departures as normal from Abell Point Marina from Saturday, 8th April.

We would urge you to check your own accommodations and flights.

Supermarkets Open, Limited Supplies (Due to flooding in SEQ, NO fresh meats, deli or bakery).

QLD Parks and Wildlife - Marine park updates: QPWS
The QPWS team of rangers are working on clean-up efforts at priority tourism areas such as, Tongue Point / Hill Inlet lookout, Whitehaven Beach, Nara Inlet and Ngaro Cultural Site.

All Public Moorings - Use with caution.
Reef protection markers - May be missing or moved, access bays with caution
About 90 public moorings are installed in the Whitsundays to help minimise anchor damage to fragile marine environments.
* Public moorings and the blue beehive-shaped buoys attached to them may be missing or damaged-structural integrity may be compromised.  
* To report missing or damaged public moorings, contact QPWS by telephone 07 4047 9616 or email qpws@npsr.qld.gov.au.

We will issue further advice on this channel as we receive it.

Travel Insurance Information:All affected customers will be provided with a letter for travel insurance purpose.  We will contact you as soon as we know you will be affected.

Oceanic Marine Insurance advises, any clients that have travel insurance arranged via QBE can claim immediately.
CCY will issue a statement, stating that due to the effects of Tropical Cyclone Debbie the charter has been cancelled. (there is no critical time limit to get this to the insurance Company)

We apologize for the interruptions to our clients holidays during Cyclone Debbie, we trust you will understand the magnitude of the situation we found ourselves in, however, we needed to take the safest and most prudent decisions at this time.

The Whitsundays will be looking beautiful again very soon. Please support our staff and our region!
