The Pit Pony Festival is celebrating Collinsville's heritage with the iconic Clydesdale. Fondly know in our town as "The Pit Pony". There will be markets, entertainment, kids amusements and fun and games for all. Don't miss the Pit Pony Parade and Fireworks as well as live entertainment with The Fox Band on Saturday and Luella and Shayne on Sunday. The Airlie Beach Race Week Festival of Sailing is recognised Australia-wide as an exciting week of on and off-water action, mixing six days of spectacular sailing with seven nights of free entertainment on shore. Most of the off-water action takes place at the Whitsunday Sailing Club August 8-15, with the exception of a Family Fun Day at Northerlies Beach Bar and Grill on Tuesday, August 13.

Twilight Sailing - Every Wednesday
The Whitsunday Sailing Club holds twilight races on Wednesday afternoons throughout the year from 4:30pm onwards. It doesn't matter if you don't have a boat, make yourself known to any of the yachties at the club as they are always looking for 'crew' and is a great way to learn the basics or brush up on your skills before your bareboat charter with us.

Situated between the Esplanade and Whitsunday Sailing Club along the foreshore, it is a great place to kick off your weekend with a nice takeaway coffee in your hand as you stroll through the market stalls listening to the local musicians play in the amphitheatre.
