One vessel not so luckily

Cumberland Fleet all safe 6:50am, Mon 22 Mar 2010

Tropical Cyclone Ului crossed the Queensland coast at Airlie Beach on the morning of the 21st March 2010. A category 3 cyclone, winds at more than 200 km/h battered the Whitsunday region.

Cumberland would like to thank that people that called, concerned about our well being and happily report that staff, families, homes and the entire fleet are safe and well.

Based at Abel Point Marina, all vessels in the fleet were readied for the cyclone in the days leading up to the storm event as part of an extensive cyclone preparation plan.
