Sanctuary Cove Here We Come 9:33am, Wed 20 May 2015Sharon and Charlie are on the road again. Leaving the beautiful Whitsundays behind, heading south to Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. We look forward to meeting you and planning your Whitsunday boating holiday! You can find us on the Promenade Stand PR17 from 21 - 24 May 2015.
This year we are excited to bring you a bareboating presentation on the Channel 7 stage
Tony Herbert representing the Whitsunday Bareboating Operators Association (WBOA) will be sharing his knowledge of the Whitsundays with “Go Bareboating” presentations.
“Tony is a well-known identity in the Whitsundays and very passionate about encouraging people to explore the islands in our beautiful part of Queensland,” explains Sharon McNally, of the #GoBareboating team.
“Bareboating is a term used for self-skippering a boat at your leisure. The beauty of a bareboating holiday is you don’t need a special license, you can make the experience whatever you want from it – whether that’s resorts, island hopping, snorkeling, bushwalking or fishing. It’s like your own personal floating hotel with 360° views that you can change every day, depending on what you feel like doing.
“We have motor Cruisers, catamarans and mono-hulls – there’s a boat for everybody and to suit every budget and group, from families to couples, from seasoned boaties to first-timers.”
Best of all, the charter hire companies will have stands at #SCIBS and will be on hand to field questions about this relaxing and hassle-free way to experience boating.
“We love coming to Sanctuary Cove,” adds Sharon, WBOA have been visiting #SCIBS for the past 20 years. “There’s a special atmosphere, everybody’s happy, the weather is great, the Marine Village is vibrant and you get great response from visitors. It’s our favourite boat show.”
