New Lagoon MY 40 for 2016 4:53pm, Tue 10 Nov 2015

Cumberland Charter yachts are pleased to announce our New Lagoon MY 40 has been named!
                                         "WHITSUNDAY DREAMING"

One lucky family has received a free night on board.

CCY Charter clients were asked to propose a name for our new vessel, arriving in Australia in December 2015.
We had a fabulous response, with over 50 names put forward the owners had a tuff time selecting their favourite. After a series of votes the 8 shareholders had reduced the extensive list to a top ten, from this list they scored each one, with 1 being most favourable. "Whitsunday Dreaming" was nominated as the popular.
For Lin and Brian, prolific charterers, who have been bareboating the Whitsundays annually since early 2000 this was a dream come true!

This year the couple and friend, Helen opted for a more relaxed holiday taking a power catamaran for the first time. The veteran trio of Whitsunday bareboating enthusiasts enjoyed the trip immensely for the ease of cruising, space and simply being a fab boat.

Upon their return, Lin submitted her proposed name for our new Lagoon MY 40 after a limerick she had written for Cumberland Charter Yachts some years ago:
In Airlie the Cumberland Crew
Are doing the best they can do
To make sure you will feel
That the Magic is real
When "WHITSUNDAY DREAMING" comes true.
adding "Well she is something of a Dreamboat! Off now to take our own modest 34ft Catalina Sloop for a sail around Mooloolaba"

When GM Sharon McNally informed Lin of the win she said "Wow!"and  "How thrilled and excited are we to think our next charter will be aboard the beautiful and elegant Lagoon MY40.  Our Whitsunday holiday is special every time and now the prospect of this lovely vessel will make our "Whitsunday Dreaming" even better. Can't wait, thank you so much everyone, just delighted you like the name, she sure is a Dreamboat after all."

Cumberland Charter Yachts welcomes the new Lagoon into the fleet in January and will prepare her ready to commence charter in March 2016
