....And now we cross live to Darcy Doogan reporting from downtown
Albany on the South Coast of Western Australia where he is putting the
finishing touches to his story "Life on board, Serengeti"  a mockumentary
encompassing a day or two in the lives of the crew on Cumberland Charter
Yachts, Serengeti.
Thanks for that Tracey, and its good morning to you all.
I have followed the crew of Serengeti for the past few weeks and am sad to
say, it is finally drawing to a close. I have been lucky enough to be a fly on
the wall whilst this particular group have been on board this wonderful
vessel and have seen them potter about The Whitsundays without a care in
the world.
Although something of particular concern each morning was the refilling of the deck esky C and boy. . . . did the girls get snaky when on one morning, only the beer stocks were replenished. The group would often meet on the back deck and over breakfast discuss
the days plan of action. Once decided Serengeti was pointed in the right direction and off they went.
On the odd occasion, lunch or tea was prepared en route and this was made much
simpler and far more enjoyable by the galley being on the same level as
everyone else.  Something that was important to this crew who didn't want
to miss out on a thing.
Seven people (and one plastic mermaid) called Serengeti home for 8 nights and for some, it was better than home.
Dean, the resident single aka The Roach, had an extremely comfortable bunk that
must have been absolute heaven for him having observed him in his natural, roach\like habitat here in Albany.
Cumberland Charter Yachts are the Choice Charter Company for this
crowd who vow and declare to return when babysitters, funds, holidays,
work and the planets align . . .
Looking forward to getting back to base to put this story to bed . . . so until
then Tracy its back to you. This is Darcy Doogan filing this report from
Albany, Western Australia.
