On The Double

Wow, where to begin? Well first of all I'd like to thank all the staff for making our trip possible! When we landed on Hamilton Island we were all so excited and couldn't wait until we got to our boat: "On The Double". Whilst we were still in the marina we were already poking our heads under the pier and seeing fish. When we were about 15 minutes out we were already spotting whales! We saw lots of cool animals like dolphins, whales and turtles. My most enjoyable memory was probably swimming with "Grumpy" the Maori wrasse. He was so big and fun to be around. At some places we snorkelled over to the beach and collected some shells. I loved being on the boat because it was just like being on a floating caravan. It was really enjoyable being around the table on those warm nights with the whole family talking about what a great day we had and what we would like to do and explore the next day. At Nara inlet we went for a walk up to the caves and saw the old aboriginal paintings, it was quite interesting. I also really enjoyed swimming through big schools of fish and being surrounded by so many cool animals. I cant wait to go again and I am already thinking of what I'd like to do next time!
