What a fabulous holiday we have just had. Six couples on two cats for a week of sailing, swimming & enjoying the Whitsundays.
We were lucky enough to coincide with Hamilton Island Race Week, so we saw lots of colour and excitement around the islands. But no-one could have had a better time than us.
Cumberland arranged for our boats to be fully provisioned with top-notch quality food and drinks. We were under way within 15 min of arriving at Hamilton marina. It was all organised so well
The weather was very kind to us so we swam, snorkelled and lazed on deserted beaches whereever we liked. Seaforth Island was one of our favourites, along with Chance Bay and of course the magnificent Whitehaven beach. What a gem!!
The coral and tropical fish only got better as we headed north to Luncheon Bay and Blue Pearl Bay.
A real highlight was to see whales every day. They were mangificient and seeminly not at all concerned when they surfaced near our boats.
Our friendly competitions between our two boats included a sailing race from Border Island, providing cocktail parties on each other's boats every night and a synchronized snorkelling exhibition by our very own 'snorkel-ettes"
Without any doubt, we'll be back for more.
