Blueberry Hill Crusin'... to be sung to the tune of Gilligan's Island

She was past her prime but still a worthy boat
Six intrepid sailors keen to be afloat
We headed cross the passage
In waves both large and small
Across to quiet Cid Harbour
Brave sailors one and all!

Food was of the essence
So fishing lines were cast
Each bite met with anticipation
A fish was caught at last!

Next morn saw wind and rain
An ugly looking day
The sea was far from friendly
In Cid we chose to stay!

Tuesday dawn was  fine and fair
A move we all were cravin
The anchor was hauled up
We motored to Whitehaven.

The above song, composed on one of the fun filled nights on Blueberry Hill illustrates the relaxation and good times that a charter with the wonderful Cumberland company brings to all who sail or cruise with her.
Our fifth charter with Cumberland in July lived up to all expectations. Even though we always intend travelling to different bays and beaches, the lure of Cid, Whitehaven and Macona and well loved familiar overnight moorings pull us under their spell each time. Each trip gets better and better and the experience on each vessel is different. Blueberry Hill was no exception.. lots of jokes about finding our thrills on Blueberry Hill!
The Cumberland experience is enhanced by the tremendous people that work there. Nothing is a bother and there is always a joke to be shared from the original briefing with Grahame, through the daily scheds to the debrief and refuel at the end of the trip when all our crew are extremely reluctant to vacate the vessel!
Best of all .. lots of laughs, total and absolute relaxation in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Going to sleep at night with the gentle rocking of the boat and the slap of waves on the hull is unsurpassed.
Words cannot describe the experience for the best holiday of your life charter with Cumberland!!!!!!
