After a week long drive from Sydney nsw through the monsoonal rain, the clear blue skies and warm sea breezes were a welcome change.

We arrived in the Whitsundays the day before we were due to depart, and after picking up the rest of the crew from the airport and collecting supplies to last us for our 14 day adventure we were ready and rearing to go.

After being put through our paces by the Cumberland crew we set sail from  Abel point in our luxurious 40ft catamaran Crackerjack.

With captain Nick 'land legs' Hood at the helm and a steady wind filling the sails we headed for nara inlet for the night. Where we enjoyed the sunset with some cool beverages toasting the start of our trip.

The following 13 days can only be described as epic.

Some of the highlights included.

Catching fresh fish and lobster.
Enjoying some face time with the local wildlife
Climbing mountains
Sipping a cool sangria and shooting pool on hook island
Partying on Hamilton
Snorkelling and diving on some incredible reefs.
Exploring many of the pristine islands
Sailing through the squalls and rain made for some very exciting moments.
Archery on the beach

So to sum up the experience, you know it's a good holiday when you forget the day and date within two days of leaving port.

Time being measured in tides and moons and you're still swaying for a week after you get back. I can't thank Cumberland enough for providing such an excellent experience that I will carry with my for the rest of my life.

Thanks again
