Owing to the Christchurch earth Quake I hope you will accept our late entry

Lady Fay departed Airlie beach on Saturday 24th July 2010. On board the beautiful Hanse 430 yacht were ..Vasco, The Chairman and Three Presidents. (The combined experience on board was in excess of 200 years)

The intention of this great voyage was to explore the famous Whitsunday Islands. Nightfall found the ship anchored in the lee of South Molle Island. Prawns and Pino Griggio, on the poop deck as the sun went down, set the mood for the days to come.

Day break, with the crows, the charts, sextant and dividers heralded a committee meeting to plan the week ahead. The choice of Islands was too numerous to be able to visit them all in the week we had.

The following days were filled with:
Snorkelling, The fish life on the reefs (so much more colourful than ours)
Swimming
Exploring various Islands- Island walks
Leisurely sailing
Observing the abundance of the Whitsunday sea life , Dolphins, Turtles, Whales
Great Sunsets and Sunrises and balmy weather

With three Presidential cook on board the galley was a continuous source of culinary delights, not to mention Vasco and the BBQs on the poop deck. All washed down with a great selection of Australian fine wines.

On the final Saturdays early dash back to Airlie Beach, Vasos Lava Lava, made a great gennaker, to end the most memorable week of fun, on a brilliant, well appointed Cumberland Charter Yacht.

We all would like to thank the Cumberland Crew for their exceptional attention to detail before, during and after our very memorable Charter experience.
