We couldn't resist the temptation for another trip. Slip one in just before the Christmas madness descended.
We decided that the Melbourne Cup week could take place without us attending, always a lot of fun, but this time a bit of r&r was a better option.
We felt we were heading back into Airlie to met up with our new friends at Cumberland, and so it was.  With one trip experience under the belt, we took on the option for a partial provisioning that worked very well.  We boarded Lazyitis and along with our good friends aboard Little One, headed out to Nara Inlet. Made good time in perfect conditions, 15 knot winds. The "team" competitiveness started right from the moment we exited Airlie Beach.
Feeling a little confident, we tried out Lazyitis, that proved anything but in her sailing.
Highlights included fine dining each night on each other's boat, Hawian matching shirts!, snorkeling at Manta Ray bay and the search for Elvis (Manta Ray resident). Fish amazing, conditions a little rougher to swim in, but fantastic fish surrounded us. We visited Happy Bay and enjoyed an island visit to South Molle (for coffee), Bauer Bay. During our travels we saw plenty of turtles. Cateran Bay was lovely too. Rosemary swam from boat to boat, and did the divers drop backwards from the dingy! Very brave.
We had a night in Hamilton Island, perfect planning. Rosemary's birthday during the trip, so good opportunity to get that last minute gift at the resort. It poured with a sudden tropical rain storm, so being tucked up there was a good decision. Loved the trip, the lazy afternoon with another rain storm at Nara, very special with the waterfall active that provided some wonderful photographic moments.  To say we are hooked, annual event definitely!  Next year.....bring it on!
