For most of our charterers, our comprehensive briefing and test sail from our guides is enough to confirm that they are able to take command of one of our vessels.
You will be briefed on board your vessel in the marina. The guide will cover all aspects of the Whitsunday Islands, tides, responsible reef practises and other area specifics.
You will also be shown over the boat and how to operate it completely.
If you are taking a sailing vessel, then you will also have to complete a test sail out side the marina to demonstrate competence in controlling the vessel - including sailing, tacking, anchoring and picking up a mooring. If you are not sure about your ability to take control, then take our simple test below. Don't panic if you get a low score beacause we have a few tips and ideas to get you afloat.
