Not sure which bareboat is right for you?

Different boat types suit different experience levels and group preferences, so choosing the right one can make a big difference to how comfortable and confident you feel on charter.

  • First-time bareboaters may prefer a power catamaran for easier handling
  • Groups of friends or families may love a sailing catamaran for the space and stability with the option to sail
  • Experienced sailors often prefer a sailing monohull for a more traditional sailing feel

Good to know

All sailing vessels have engines, so you can still manoeuvre and navigate when there is no wind or when only a short movement is needed.

If you want the freedom of a bareboat charter but would feel more comfortable with extra support, all bareboats also have the option to take a Sail Guide for part of or the full duration of your charter.

Need extra support choosing?

If you're not quite sure whether to bareboat, add a Sail Guide. They can show you the ropes and share local knowledge, tips and secrets — preparing you for your next charter without needing a Sail Guide the next time around.
