Island Resorts

Hamilton Island

Located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef on the Queensland Coast, lies 74 islands of the Whitsundays. The majority of them are uninhabited national park islands with four of the islands offering resort accommodation. Your bareboating holiday is just the beginning. After you arrive at your first overnight anchorage you now have to decide what you’d like to see and do!!  Resort hopping is a popular past time in the Whitsundays and Cumberland Charter Yachts' vessels are welcome to visit them. Why not drop in for a while and experience the gourmet delights or a tropical cocktail by the pool or have a relaxing massage. Each resort has its own little piece of magic for you to discover.

Long Island

Long Island is the closest island to the mainland, and as suggested by the name, is 9km long while only being 400m wide at its widest point! Long Island is mostly national park and has 13km of walking trails to explore the plentiful native flora and fauna on this dramatic natural landscape. Surrounded by secluded bays and expansive coral fringing reefs great for snorkellling and beachcombing, Long Island is a quiet paradise for visitors seeking seclusion and tranquility.

Hamilton Island

The largest of the Whitsunday Island resorts, Hamilton Island offers over 60 activities, has a number of bars and restaurants, retail outlets and a variety of water sports and tours to experience. Located on the marina side of the island is the marina village precinct, offering everything from a newsagency, IGA supermarket and bottle shop and retail outlets, while the opposite of the island is where you will find all the resorts, accommodation, and Catseye Beach.

Get active with some go-kart racing or a jet ski tour, cuddle a koala at the wildlife park, or tee off with a round of golf on the island’s very own 18-hole championship course, located on neighbouring Dent Island.

Guests are welcome to book a berth in the marina and use the resort facilities. Day and overnight rates for berths are available. We recommend booking your berth in advance to avoid disappointment.
